Have you ever wondered why God created a woman?
Well I often ask myself this question time and again. I wonder what was going through His mind. Wait; there is an answer to this. God needed Adam to have an helper. After Adam saw that all the other animals God created had helpers, He realized He was the odd one out. Adam definitely needed someone to compliment him, and in that case, a woman was fit for that position. According to the Oxford Learner’s dictionary a woman is a female human being. I definitely agree with it, a woman is just that and more-a female human being.
We are living in a gender sensitive society today. Here in Kenya, the girl child has been given too much attention such that the boy child seems to be neglected. I am writing this article just to show how important a woman is. Gone are the days when men used to feel superior, like they own the entire world. It is a high time women were given the same opportunities as men, be it leadership, education, job opportunities, you name it. I like the new Kenyan constitution for one very major reason; it highly favors the women. Thumbs up, just waiting for it to be implemented.
Away from that, I was talking about the woman, not the constitution. A woman was the last but not the least of God’s creation. This means God took all the time to create her. He definitely saved the last for the best I can imagine. Going back to the creation story, (Genesis 2:18), God created Eve to be Adam’s helper. He definitely needed that, someone to procreate with, and to multitask. If there were no procreation, the human race would be extinct by now.
God created a woman from Adam’s rib. Doesn’t this explain her unique features? Her smooth, soft flawless skin. She was made from an already refined object. A man had to be put to deep sleep for her to be created (Genesis 2:21). I mean, he just could not be allowed to see his helper being created. This explains how transcendent God is.
Right from childhood, the strength of a woman is portrayed in the way she helps do various household chores, like cleaning the house, dishes, fetching water and even being a flower girl at a wedding.
Upon reaching her teenage, she begins noticing the changes in her body, all that prepare her for the years to come. It is a proven fact (don’t ask me if its scientifically, medically or what) that girls mature earlier than boys. This means by as early as nine years old, a girl already has discovered about herself.

Once she reaches her twenties, she knows what she wants and she goes for it. This could be further studies, career, or even walking down the aisle. She already has in mind her dream wedding gown, honeymoon place and even an idea of her ideal husband (maybe tall. Dark and handsome) though I would not necessarily go for that myself. My ideal man should be A.B.C…and that is a story for another day, today it is about the best of God’s creation, THE WOMAN.

Once she is married and is about to bring another human being into this troublesome world that is when all her problems begin.

This is just part of God’s plan, that a woman should be the one to carry a pregnancy to term otherwise if it were my wish a man would carry for 4.5 months while I carry for the next 4.5 since we took part in making that baby the two of us. If only Eve had not eaten that so-called forbidden fruit…Her mornings are a total nightmare, she feels nauseated every other time and all the physical changes bring out what she was really created for.

After the nine months are over, she goes into labor pains. Now this is a matter of life and death. It is enough trouble anyone can bear. She however goes through it and successfully brings a bundle of joy into this troubled world. Immediately she holds the bundle of joy in her arms, she forgets all that trouble she underwent for nine months and the several hours of being in labor. Isn’t that the strength of a woman? She loves, cuddles, breastfeeds, kisses, hugs and holds her baby like it is the only thing that matters in the world at that moment.

She is a mother, a daughter, an auntie, sister, cousin, niece, wife, mistress, neighbor or a friend.
Give her all the respect she deserves. Eleanor Roosevelt (former first lady): “ a woman is like a tea bag, you never know how strong she is until you put her in hot water.”

THE STRENGHTH OF A WOMAN!!!
